Q: Where can I find the lug buts for a 2006 Toyota Matrix in the San Francisco Area?
I had already check eBay out but I don't want to wait for too long for the nuts to come, and I don't want to deal with the Toyota dealer. I've also tried the Kragen Auto Parts store, buy still I can't find any nuts that fit. So if anyone can kindly tell me where I can find the retailer I will be much appreciate. Thx.
A: Go to a Pontiac dealer - Vibe is the same car.
Q: Is it possible for a toyota prius to go up to tahoe from "san francisco" on snow conditions?
Is it possible for a toyota prius to go up to tahoe from "san francisco" on snow conditions?
A: It is front wheel drive so make sure you put the chains, if they are required, on the correct set of wheels. Front wheel drive is great in snow and you can go places rear wheel drive can't. You will get a false sense of security until you try to stop. Stopping distances don't change.
I once climbed a hill by my house that had 1 1/2 feet of new snow in my Civic w/FWD no chains no problem. There was a fellow half way up on the steep part who could not make it with RWD. I told him to turn around and back up and he went to the top with no problem. Then when I reached the top I got stuck off the road so I tried to back up. Wrong move, I put it in 1st and pulled right out.
Q: Does the Manual Toyota Corolla 4 door '07or '08 do well on hills like the hills in San Francisco?
The model is the CE
A: It's a matter of the skill of the driver. With the e-brake at your side, it is easy to control rolling backwards every time you have to start up from a position on a hill.
Q: What is the san francisco bay water like?
My boyfriend and I might move to San Fran next summer with Toyota and I'm wondering about San Fran! Any info please! Is the water warm or cold? Is there sharks/dolphins?
A: The water is cold and dirty, if you swim a while, be sure to take a shower, you can see a lot of sea lions, rarely see a dolphin and whale, check pictures http://www.bayareavisit.com
Q: Is there an auto body shop in the San Francisco Bay Area that can trim my car's rear fender lips?
I need to trim (cut off) my 1993 Toyota Supra turbo's rear fender lips to accommodate wider rear tires (315/35/17's). I tried rolling these fenders but I didn't succeed in rolling the fender lips.
A: Superior Automotive on 16th Street. Phone is 415-431-6477
Q: Is it possible for a toyota prius to go up to tahoe onIs it possible for a toyota prius to go snow conditions?
Is it possible for a toyota prius to go up to tahoe from "san francisco" on snow conditions?
A: Absolutely. Living in Buffalo, NY where it's winter 6 mos of the year and 2-3 foot snowfalls in the winter are not unusual, we have alot of Prius owners that have absolutely no problems with them. They are front-wheel drive, so don't plan on going through any big snow piles or anything though. If you know you're getting into alot of snow, you might invest in a set of snow tires, but beyond that you should be fine.
hope this helps.
Q: Ever have the gas engine take over on your Toyota Prius?
I don't feel comfortable talking the Prius on long trips. We find the front seats cramped and uncomfortable and for long distance driving, I am not sure we would save that much on gas.
Also, have you driven to the point where the electric energy bars have been depleted and the gasoline engine takes over?
After we bought our car, on the Sierra-Nevada mountain uphill grade driving from San Francisco to Reno, the bars were almost depleted and the last remaining turned purple. What a fright -- we turned off our air conditioner, opened the windows and managed to get over the mountains before the bars all disappeared from the display panel. Later the dealership did have us bring the car in and they checked and adjust the computer controls and I was assured the car would not stall.
A: 1. Your Prius have no problem, I don't even think your dealer did anything.
2. Battery bar does not represent the actual battery left on your Prius. (if I remember right, last bar left is still between 50-60% full to save the battery)
3. Your Prius will not stall by running the Gas only.
P.S.
Don't try this - but I rent one back in 2005 and REALLY tested it out. Charged up full and From stop on flat land floor it and ran it until the Prius only uses the gas engine. At about 95mph. And I top out 108 on the long down hill freeway. Also just like you did on a long hill turned on everything and see if it will fail.
BUT I DID NOT FAIL!
So, I ordered one
For you, please, just let the car do it's job...

Q: Good beaches in san fran?
I'm probably moving to the san francisco area with my boyfriend next summer for Toyota. What are some good beaches to go to? We have a Newfoundland (dog) who loves water. What are some "must do's" in San Fran besides alcatraz, china town, lombard st, & the wharf? Good food places? etc!
Thank you!
A: Normally, these five beaches are my favorite:
- Baker Beach (San Francisco City)
- Muir Beach (Marin County)
- Stinson Beach (Marin County)
- Half Moon Bay Beach (San Mateo County)
- Santa Cruz Beach (Santa Cruz County)
Of course, with the oil tanker disaster, Baker and Muir (the two closest to the Golden Gate) will probably be off limits for several months. The other beaches should not be affected as much. Though there's no guarantee of that.
The so-called "accident" itself is a travesty. How could any experienced sea captain not see a 530 foot tall bridge tower? Whoever was in charge of that ship needs to be held accountable.
Q: How do I find the dealer with the best service for car maintenance?
I am looking for a Toyota Dealer for car maintenance. Should I go to the dealer where I bought it? Is there a place I can look up customer evaluations? I live in the south San Francisco bay area.
A: Start with the better Bus. Bureau and get a recommendation.
Ask other Toyota car owners you see whenever you are driving around town.
If you have warranty work go back to where you bought it.
good luck

Q: Toyota paseo 4efte swap California?
Any shops that will swap my paseos 5efe for a 4efte in California? More specifically close to San Francisco?
A: No too sure about the Bay area but there are plenty here in So. Cal that will do it. Do a search on import performance shops in the San Francisco area. You will love the extra torque of the 4efte. Still, have you considered a 3SGTE swap? That works to and eventhough it's more involved, it's easier to find a tech who knows 3SGTEs than the 4EFTE due to the fact the 4EFTE was never here in the States due to emissions and cost. Either way, you'll be happy with the performance you'll get from either engine.
Q: Why can I get a Toyota Prius with package #3 or #4 in SoCal?
I want the Bluetooth but don't want navigation or leather. Neither my nearest dealer in Los Angeles, nor Toyota's website, will let me configure a Prius with package #3 or #4 with a SoCal zip....but the dealer can't tell me why. A prius can be configured in San Francisco with #3 and #4 (using a SanFran zip), but no cities in Southern California have those packages available online. What's the deal?
A: its toyota's market. any thing else if you can afford it go for the ones in northern cali.
