Q: "Diann drove her Chevy into San Francisco Bay" - From What Song?
I've heard this song several times on a local station here in LA called JACK. The problem is JACK doesn't tell you who the group is or the name of the song. I think it's from the early 90s. It is more a 'talking, almost rap' rock song where the lead singer (a guy) name drops dozens of names of people he has known and what happened to them. I liked the song and will go out their music if I can find out who they are. Anyone know? Kolacky, many thanks. I did several lyrics searches withour results. I'm saving your link. Thanks again.

Q: where in san francisco can i fix my 02 corvette?
i took it in two days ago and told them that it has been "NOT" starting at times lately they said if it is not starting at times it's some kind of cylinder around the ignition that cost $160, so i told them to go ahead and fix it, and about 10 minutes after i left the dealership my lights flipped on and wouldn't go down then after 10 mins they did,but once i got into the parking lot they popped back on again, and when i get out of the car the lights only shut off when i shut the car and then turn the lights back on then off. and when i start the car in the parking lot the lights automatically pop on, and after 5 or 10 min. of driving they turn off all by themselves. now it wont start again and this time it's been over an hour and it still wont start. i've taken it to 5 different chevy dealers from san jose, fresno, las vegas and santa monica, they all gave it back with a clean bill of health but never fixed it, now they told me i also need to change the catalytic converter

A: I wouldn't listen about the catalytic converter, there is no way a 4 year old car would need that changed. Mine is 13 and still has the original on it. Thats real messed up.. Sounds like a wiring problem to me. It also sounds like all the chevy techs in California are morons. I would check fuses, see if one is loose, then check the wiring. Otherwise I don't know...thats messed up a $50,000 car would have that kind of problems after 4 years.

Q: How much would it cost to ship car from Germany/Stutgart to San Francisco/CA?Some company names maybe?
My car is a Chevy-Trucker, 4 doors, small SUV, 2001 model and in Stutgart, Germany..

A: Try a company name crowley or seaboard...my mom has an export buisness but she only ships from the U.S to Dominican Republic and Panama...and she ships through those two companys but i dont know all the other places they ship to...but i know my mom charges about $65 to $70 to do the paper work for each car and crowley probly charges about 2 hundred and something i really dont know

Q: Anyone Here Listen To JACK in LA? I Need The Name Of A Song!?
I actually love this new format and am getting to hear music I haven't heard before. The problem is they never tell you the name of the band or song. Like I heard a song several days ago that I really loved and will go buy some of their CDs if I ever find out who these guys are. The singer was actually fast talking the song. He was a white guy but it almost sounded like rap or early Dylan. The song name dropped a lot of names of people in his life and what had happened to them. There were lines like "And Diann drove her Chevy into San Francisco Bay." Can anyone help me with who this group is? Thank you.

A: I know of a song that uses the word 'jack' 'Black Jack do it again.....' I and know a a song that goes, 'Drove my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry...' And I know of a white rapper named Eminem. I do not, however, know what the hell you are talking about!

Q: 2004 Chevy Impala Water Pump & Thermostat Repair Costs?
I have a 2004 Chevy Impala in much need of a new Thermostat and Water Pump. How much do you think it will cost to get repaired, in the san francisco bay area, by a certified mechanic? How many hours do you think it would take to replace the Water Pump and Thermostat AND how much would the parts be in total..including a few water hoses, etc.? So, basically, how much would it normally cost, for parts, labor, etc. to have these repairs completed by a certified mechanic? Thanks for your help.

A: labor to this is about 2.5 pros time x 85. = 212.50 plus about $ 70.00 on parts you looking 300.00 max.

Q: Does anyone know where I can rent a classic car?
I'm having my wedding in San Francisco and am looking for a classic car like a 57 Chevy....does anyone know a place??

A: Only in New Jersey! LandKrusers can help...an auto wed site.

Q: Can anyone recommend some kid friendly restaurants in the East Bay?
Or at least no frowning. We'll be in the Pleasanton area and would like to go to a restaurant with good food where they won't frown on us for bringing our children (ages 2 and 3). A place that's not the typical pizza, fast food, TGI Fridays, Olive Garden, Chevy's, etc. would be great. Thanks so much! Regards, Mari PS-Dining Out/San Francisco was the closest category match...wish they had a category just for the east bay.

A: The Ark in Alameda is kid friendly - the food is MARVELOUS. Try Jim's coffee shop on Lincoln Ave at Park St in Alameda. The best coffee shop in the world is a little farther down Park St: Ole's Waffle Shop. Go in the afternoon- weekend mornings there is a line down the block.

Q: teen's 1st car, sports car good idea?
so im checking out cars and i really like toyota mr2 spyders. i saw a black one and it was only 10k with 61k miles on it. they are soft top convertibles and most are manual but i think i could probably find a semi or full automatic. they are 2 seaters but i dont really plan on moving things. im going to college next year most likely in LA or near san francisco so i need a small car. what do u think, they have good gas mileage, are toyotas and are reasonably priced, good first car for 8 years in college, im doing grad school, soo...? btw iv been driving my moms huge chevy tahoe and i really need a car. i really dont want a dud car though, im going to have it for almost another 10 years and would like it to be something i really love i am a very responsible driver and would never do anything stupid to damage a car that i love. im going to be a biochem/ math major, im pretty smart

A: As others have said, insurance cost for any small 2-seater sports car will be outrageous for a male teenager. Why? Because insurance statistics show that these cars are wrecked most often when driven by male teenagers. I know, you won't wreck, but you'll pay for those who do.

Q: What's wrong with my truck?
its a 97 chevy blazer with about 137k on it.Now then, when i drive to far place for example like from sacramento to san francisco.at a stop my truck starts to rev up by its own without pressing the gas peddle.like my oil gauge jumps up.its starts out hella low nd when it's like at the lowest it jumps back up and then gets low again. when im driving like on a freeway it doesnt do that. Can some1 help me?Don't know whats wrong with it.Its been doing this for about a month know.Could it be because i have 2 15 inch subs and its killing my battery?or could it be because i need a oil change?just saying what i think could be wrong with it.But i really dont know so if you now the answer write back!

A: The throttle position sensor is bad. It is what sets the throttle when it is at idle. If the motor goes up and down the sensor is looking for the right place to set the idle. it is also called the TPS
