Q: Why do cars horn/beep at female pedestrains here in phoenix so much more than other cities/states? ....?
I used to live in another state before for many years and not a single car has ever horned or beeped at me. When I moved to Phoenix, I found so many cars horn/beep at you and a few even pulled up in front of you.... Why do they do that and why are the people like that here in phoenix?? Are there just a lot of people that are of less class here?
They do that in LA too?
Why is it such a big difference in that in one city, not a single car has EVER horn/beep at me whereas it's different in Phoenix? The thing that didn't change is me. So, it has to do with differences in the place and the people..?
A: This is no disrespect to you. In Phoenix, more so than in some other cities, the local prostitutes offer their services by "working" on certain streets. Van Buren is one in particular, but not the only one. Many of the people honking their horn at you are simply mistaking you for something that you certainly are not. If you don't respond to them, they go away. For the ones that stop in front of you, make it plainly obvious that you are writing down their license plate number.

Q: I am planning a road trip from Phoenix to San Francisco, where should I stop along the way?
I am taking a trip for a week this summer. I am flying into Phoenix/Scottsdale, renting a car, and driving to San Francisco. I want to spend a day or so in the phoenix area, and a good amount of time in the San Diego, Orange County area. I want to see as many cool things as I possibly can with the amount of time I have. I'm into sightseeing, winerys, shopping, eating at cool restaurants, some partying, beaches, etc. Not really into museums and that kind of thing. I plan on driving up the pacific coast highway from orange county to san fran. Any ideas on things I should definitely not miss? I've heard Big Sur is cool, and some castle(can't remember the name) might be worth seeing?
A: Great trip, be sure you stay on Hwy 1 from Ventura north, and it is the Hearst Castle that you are thinking of. Palo Alto is a great community with great wineries, Big Sur is beautiful, Carmel and Monterrey are fantastic. You should always try some of the restaurants and shops that are off the beaten path and you will find food that will drive you crazy. Have a great time, and don't forget another great spot Santa Cruz.

Q: What is the cost difference between buying a $23,000 car in Tucson vs the Phoenix area in re: to taxes?
It would be for a new car. I keep hearing taxes are more in Phoenix, and I would end up paying more. I live in Tucson, AZ.
A: Are the taxes really different? I would think they'd be the same, considering they're both in the same state.
